The Day I Saw Magic...

How a yoga retreat changed my life.

Have you ever wondered whether you and I are delusional when it comes to our unwavering belief in life’s magic?

As I’m lucky enough to know almost every one of you beautiful souls in this small, soulful Substack community, I feel safe making the assumption that we share the belief that there is much magic in life 🙌 🪄

This belief keeps us going when times are tough. It calls us back home to ourselves when we stray too far down Rumination Alley or Regret Street. And it helps us to hone our hope and our faith in possibility.

Magic is powerful.

So powerful I wrote a whole book about it. And then got ‘Unfold your magic’ tattoed on my arm before the book launch in October 2018.

So, with that in mind, I thought I’d share something different with you today.

Something that feels strangely vulnerable. But far too magical NOT to share.

A Brief Back Story

Recently, I had a nourishing, delightful conversation with my cherished soul sisters. As we talked about life and shared our dreams, I suddenly remembered the moment I saw magic in the Sri Lankan jungle in 2012.

As I shared my story, it was as though time stood still.

Such a beautiful, powerful memory, about a moment I’ll never forget.

And yet, even though I wrote about it in my book, The Magical Unfolding, I’d completely forgotten I shared the experience with a room of lovely people, at an event in London in 2017.

I genuinely had no memory of this. Until that is, magic stepped in.

I was minding my own business, trying to focus on my 2023 vision, when my intuition told me to stop what I was doing and listen to my old voice recordings on my phone.

So I did.

As you’ll already know if you listened to the audio first, I found a recording of a talk I did in 2017, sharing the magical moment when my entire belief system changed. I still have no memory of making that recording, although I do now remember the shift in the air when I shared my story live.

Discovering this audio made me cry. In a good way.

I needed to hear my own words. Even though so much of what I knew has fallen away, it was such a wonderful reminder that we’re always held in love. And that there is always magic in the air.

I hope this audio reminds you of your magic too. Click above to play!

Have a beautiful weekend lovely soul.

Thank you for being you xx

ps after what feels like a long time away from my true soul work, I’m now conjuring up ways for us to gather online, possibly through the return of my Soulful Saturday Sessions.

These sessions offer my lovely community an introvert-friendly way to gather with like-hearted souls, so I can share my discoveries as a soulful neurodiverse creative and hold space for you to share your discoveries and ask questions.

I’ll be sharing subjects such as my Soulful Habit-Setting approach, my approach to my recent ADHD diagnosis, embracing your enoughness, writing from the heart and tuning into your intuition, as well as All The Other Ideas I have swirling around right now.

I’m calling a meeting with my head, heart and hara soon to tune into the deets… I’ll keep you posted right here on Substack.

Leave me a smile below if this appeals to you
