Hi lovely soul. Thanks for sharing your experience here - you offer such a great reframe for the power of having those ‘labels’. Preserving life-force energy is everything… yet hard to gift yourself permission for in terms of managing boundaries until you have a clear Why. I’m happy you’re learning to manage and preserve yours 😍🙌🏻
A few years ago I learned a term that describes my being-ness - I am an HSP (highly sensitive person) and also an introvert. I did so much to get myself out of my shell and for work when I needed to be in public (when I facilitated) I seemed as though I was an extrovert. It tapped my energy so much I has taken a dozen years to feel a semblance of normal. However, I honour the way I am and walk gently into public situations when I know I can handle them.
Hi lovely Santina. Oof. I feel this. Thanks for reading and for sharing your experience. You encapsulated the power of labels here: "I learned a term that describes my being-ness".
I've worked with several seemingly extrovert people with a similar story; some so well 'domesticated', they were ASTONISHED to discover they were really HSP introverts. It seems you knew all along... what a cost to your wellbeing, yet what beautiful learning. I love that you walk gently. For me, you are the embodiment of what I call 'fierce serenity'. That's a compliment btw 😉😍🤗

Hi Mr . Ma 🤗 Welcome back!! Hope you're thriving 😊 Thanks for your lovely emojis. I note the power of three at work. And I'm here for it 😉 🙃
Another HSP / Empath here. Learning about these traits has helped me enormously when it comes to managing (and protecting) my energy!
